Spring Is Coming

What We’re Most Excited About at The Wildflower

Even in the Northeast Kingdom, spring doesn’t announce itself with fireworks. It creeps in quietly—through melting snow, softer trails, and the first hints of green along the edges of the forest.

At The Wildflower Inn, we’re already feeling that shift, and we couldn’t be more excited for what the next season brings.

Trails Awakening

The snow is melting, and trails are starting to reveal themselves. Soon, the forests and fields will be ready for:

  • Early-season hiking and walking
  • Gravel road cycling and mountain biking (once trails firm)
  • Nature exploration for families and solo adventurers

There’s something magical about being among the first to move through a landscape that’s just coming alive again.

Outdoor Activities for Every Pace

Spring at The Wildflower isn’t about rushing—it’s about enjoying the first hints of warmth and green:

  • Gentle walks along thawing paths
  • Spotting wildlife and early blooms
  • Quiet moments by the lake or in the woods
  • Mountain biking, once the trails are ready

We’re all about helping guests experience the outdoors safely and fully, no matter their pace.

Gathering and Celebrating

Spring also signals the start of our outdoor season at The Wildflower:

  • Fireside dinners can move outdoors as temperatures rise
  • Early events and gatherings bring people together in the fresh air
  • New activities—like our disc golf course—will be ready for guests to enjoy

It’s a season of community, adventure, and slow rediscovery.

Why Spring Feels Special Here

There’s a reason the NEK is called the Northeast Kingdom:

  • The landscape feels vast and untouched
  • Wildlife reappears in every corner
  • Trails, lakes, and hills invite exploration like nowhere else

Spring reminds us that every season has its beauty, and that the quiet months of winter and mud season set the stage for adventure and connection.

What We’re Most Excited About

At The Wildflower, we’re looking forward to:

  • Welcoming guests back for warm-weather activities
  • Sharing the first blooms and green trails with friends old and new
  • Continuing to host outdoor adventures, events, and experiences that only the NEK can offer

The best part? Guests get to experience the entire transition, from snow to mud to green, all while staying in the heart of it.
