Why The Wildflower Is the Perfect Place for Your Family Reunion

Planning a family reunion is about more than just picking a date—it’s about finding the perfect place to reconnect, relax, and create new memories together. At The Wildflower Inn, we make it easy to bring your family together in one beautiful spot that offers comfort, convenience, and a whole lot of charm.

Stay Together, But With Space to Breathe

One of the most-loved features for family groups is our Meadows Building. It’s ideal for hosting the heart of your reunion. The large suite features:

  • A gathering space perfect for shared meals, late-night games, and story swapping
  • A full kitchen for prepping family favorites or quick snacks
  • Two private sleeping rooms for the “hosts” of the reunion (often grandparents or the organizers)
  • A spacious living and dining area to serve as home base for everyone

Right next door, the four neighboring guest rooms offer privacy for the rest of the family, each with its own bath and sleeping space for 2–4 guests. This whole cluster is located adjacent to our heated saltwater pool, making it easy to cool off, lounge in the sun, or let the kids splash while the grownups relax nearby. It’s the best of both worlds—togetherness when you want it, privacy when you need it.

Room for Everyone

With 27 rooms across the property, The Wildflower can accommodate groups of many sizes. Whether you’ve got a small group of siblings and cousins, or a large extended family spanning generations, we can help craft a layout that keeps everyone comfortable.

A Place to Make Memories

Our property is full of little moments that turn into lasting memories:

  • Rolling hills and walking trails for morning strolls
  • A porch perfect for sunset chats
  • Onsite dining and live music on Saturday evenings in the summer
  • Close proximity to Kingdom Trails, perfect for biking adventures together
  • And of course, that heated saltwater pool everyone will love

Make It a Vacation, Too

Turn your family reunion into a full-on Vermont vacation. The Wildflower Inn is a perfect launching pad for fun day trips and mini adventures. Here are just a few field trip ideas that families love:

  • Lake Willoughby – Take a picnic, swim in crystal-clear waters, or hike up Mount Pisgah for breathtaking views
  • Ben & Jerry’s Factory (in Waterbury) – Tour the iconic ice cream factory and sample flavors the whole family will love
  • Fairbanks Museum & Planetarium – Discover natural history, astronomy, and hands-on fun for all ages, just 20 minutes away in St. Johnsbury
  • Burke Mountain – Ride the scenic chairlift, hike, or zip down the bike trails
  • Maple Creemees & Farmstands – Treat yourselves to the best local snacks and sweet Vermont traditions

asy Planning, Beautiful Results

Planning a reunion can be stressful—but it doesn’t have to be. Our team is here to help coordinate lodging blocks, provide dining options, and suggest local activities for every age group. Whether your family loves hiking, biking, farm visits, or simply relaxing in the fresh air, we’ve got something for everyone.
