The Indy Pass just became the whole story
Smugglers' Notch joined the Indy Pass on September 8, 2026, which means Burke, Jay Peak and Smugglers' Notch are now all standard Indy Pass partners for 2026/27, the first season all three have shared a pass. It's new enough that almost nobody has written it up yet.
Worth being precise about what that gets you: the Indy Pass is two lift days at each partner mountain, plus a third day at 25% off, with no blackout dates at Smuggs (advance reservations required there). It is not an unlimited season's worth of skiing at three mountains. It's a genuinely good multi-mountain starter that rewards exactly the trip we're set up for: ski a couple of days at Burke, add a Jay Peak powder day, swing by Smuggs, and sleep in the same room the whole time.
One bed, three mountains
Burke Mountain is 8 minutes from our door: the Northeast Kingdom's home hill, built on Olympic-training terrain, with lift lines you measure in seconds rather than minutes. It's the easiest of the three to treat as a half-day. Ski before lunch, spend the afternoon at Kingdom Trails or in front of the fire.
Jay Peak, about an hour north via I-91, is the powder magnet of the East. Worth the drive on a big-snow day, and an easy add to an Indy Pass trip anchored here.
Smugglers' Notch is roughly an hour and a half away via I-91. Route 108, the direct route over the Notch, closes for the winter, so plan on the highway route. New to the Indy Pass this season and worth the drive for a change of terrain midweek.

Midweek Ski Escape. Sunday through Thursday arrivals, non-holiday. Breakfast included for everyone, every morning, and we'll arrange your lift tickets at the mountain's own price, no markup. This is where the Northeast Kingdom is quietest and the value is best.
3-Mountain Family Ski Week. Five nights or more in one of our kitchen suites, with our standing extended-stay rate applied to the whole stay, breakfast covered for the family, and tickets arranged at cost for any mix of Burke, Jay Peak and Smuggs days.
Weekend Basecamp. Three-night weekends in our larger multi-bedroom suites, built for families and friend groups of four to ten, breakfast included, tickets at cost.
Dogs are welcome throughout, as always, for a flat pet fee.
Winter, in every direction
Downhill is the headline, but it isn't the whole trip. Kingdom Trails grooms a skate and classic Nordic network on Darling Hill, and Burke's Dashney Nordic Center adds more groomed terrain and designated uphill-skinning routes for anyone earning their turns. Kingdom Trails also keeps a groomed winter fat-biking network, and you can pedal out from our property directly onto it. The VAST snowmobile trail runs straight through our 300 acres, so sledders can ride out from their rooms, with parking for trucks, trailers and RVs. Lake Willoughby, a scenic drive up the road, becomes one of the East's storied ice-climbing destinations every winter, with guide services running trips all season. And on a clear night, Heaven's Bench under a dark Northeast Kingdom sky is its own kind of activity.

Burke's new ownership has been investing seriously in the mountain, including a snowmaking expansion aimed at tripling capacity with more efficient equipment, and they've experimented with "snow farming" to stretch the season. None of that is a promise about any one day's conditions, but it's a real reason to book the trip and trust the mountain will be ready.

Breakfast with a view toward Burke Mountain, which catches the sunrise from our side of the valley. Dinner and drinks in the pub every single day of the year, all winter included, because our restaurant never closes for the season. Snowshoeing and sledding straight out the door on our 300 acres.
