Discover the Best East Coast Rides from the Wildflower Inn

If you’ve ever dreamed of riding through quiet country roads, weaving past glacial lakes, old sugar shacks, rolling meadows, and breathtaking ridgelines, then welcome to gravel biking heaven—right here in Vermont’s Northeast Kingdom. The Wildflower Inn sits at the epicenter of some of the finest gravel biking on the East Coast, and we’re here to help you plan your next two-wheeled escape.

Why the Northeast Kingdom?

Gravel cyclists from across the country are falling in love with the Northeast Kingdom’s unspoiled beauty and extensive network of gravel roads. It’s not just about the scenery—although we promise it’ll leave you breathless. It’s about the flow: long, winding roads with minimal traffic, challenging climbs, fast descents, and quirky rural charm that makes each ride memorable. You’re just as likely to see a moose as you are a mailbox with a hand-carved bear on top.

Located at the top of Darling Hill Road—famous for its panoramic views and proximity to Kingdom Trails—you can clip in and ride straight from your door.
