One of the main highlights of the event is the Pride Ride itself,
which will start at noon and conclude at around 2:30 pm. Participants will have the option of choosing between a 10-mile mountain bike ride on the scenic trails throughout Burke on Kingdom Trails or a 20-mile gravel ride that will take them on a tour of the town. For those who prefer to take a more leisurely pace, there will also be a Pride Walk, which will provide a great opportunity to explore Darling Hill and take in the beautiful views of The Wildflower.
Following the ride, the after-party will take place at The Wildflower from 2 pm to 5 pm. Guests will be treated to live music by Rangus, a Queer Punk Rock band from Burlington, and a special guest speaker, John Killacky, former Vermont State Representative and Executive Director of the Flynn Center for Performing Arts. Local LGBTQ+ businesses and artists will also be showcasing their work, and there will be a raffle with a unique blend of queer culture and the NEK, with all donations going to Pride Center VT.
The Wildflower is committed to creating a welcoming environment for everyone, and the Pride Ride is a fantastic opportunity to showcase local LGBTQ+ people and support a great cause. By bringing together outdoor recreation and community support, this event is a perfect example of how we can celebrate diversity and promote inclusivity in our communities. Whether you are an avid cyclist or simply looking for a fun and meaningful way to celebrate Pride Month, The Wildflower's Pride Ride promises to be a memorable event. We hope you can join us for this exciting celebration of diversity, community, and inclusion!
