SPRING

In the spring, The Wildflower is surrounded by swooping pastures and fields of wildflowers in bloom, providing a stunning backdrop for guests to enjoy. The air is fresh and cool, and the trees and bushes are starting to bud, creating a picturesque setting for hiking, biking, or simply taking a leisurely walk around the grounds. After a long, cold winter, spring brings color back to our little pocket of the world! Spring hiking or biking at any of the surrounding trails is a great way to enjoy the season!

SUMMER

In the summer, The Wildflower is a popular destination for outdoor enthusiasts, as the nearby mountains and trails provide endless opportunities for hiking, biking, and other outdoor activities. Only a short drive from some of Vermont's most treasured attractions, such as Lake Willoughby, you're sure to have an authentic and exciting NEK experience. The infamous Kingdom Trails also passes right through the property, making it the perfect place to stay if you're an avid mountain biker. And if it wasn't enticing enough already, the warm weather makes it the perfect time to relax by the inn's outdoor pool or to enjoy a cold drink and take in the views.


Plus, with full-service dining and a selection of food trucks on-site, there's really no reason to leave.


FALL

In the fall, The Wildflower is surrounded by vibrant foliage, making it the ideal place to stay for leaf-peeping. If you stay at the Wildflower we promise you won't want to leave, but a short day trip to one of the many surrounding Vermont State Parks is a great way to take in the incredible colors that a Vermont autumn offers. And don't be fooled by cooler weather; it's still a great time for outdoor activities such as hiking and biking. The inn also offers cozy fireplaces and comfortable common areas for guests to enjoy during the cooler evenings. Looking for a fun event? The Burke Foliage Festival happens every Fall and is only a short drive away.

WINTER

Finally, in the winter, The Wildflower is a popular destination for skiers and snowboarders, as it is located just a short drive from several local ski mountains, such as Burke and Jay Peak. The Wildflower is only an 8-minute drive from the Burke Mountain parking lot.


Here for a family vacation? The Wildflower has a sledding hill and an ice rink to ensure the whole family has fun..


You can also fat bike or cross-country ski on the extensive nearby trails. If you're a snowmobiler, you'll be happy to hear that the VAST trail network runs very close to the Wildflower, making it as simple as ever to go from your room to the trails. The Wildflower also offers cozy rooms and common areas, and full-service dining for guests to enjoy after a day out in the snow.
