Most importantly, we are still dedicated to providing the highest level of health, safety, and hospitality standards that make the Wildflower Inn a special place. These protocols are subject to change as the situation continues to evolve. We are following the guidance from the CDC and Vermont Department of Health.

Keeping each other safe is a community effort, one that we are all learning how to do together, and we appreciate your understanding and support at this time.

General

  • THE BIG FOUR! Wash your hands, practice social distancing, wear a cloth face covering, and stay home if you are sick!
  • We have increased cleaning practices, including the sanitization of frequently touched surfaces (doors, bathrooms, surfaces, light switches, etc.) in the Main Inn and Restaurant at least every two hours.
  • Our beautiful grounds, Kingdom Trails, area mountain trails and our area lakes are open for your enjoyment, but our pool, game room and sitting room will not be open this summer.

Our staff

  • Before returning to work, all staff completed a training on mandatory health and safety requirements as provided by VOSHA. Whether they are in the kitchen, interacting with guests, or working in the gardens, each member of our staff is trained in recognizing symptoms, practicing preventative measures, and staying updated on cleaning sanitization protocols.
  • Staff have pledged that they will not come to work if they feel sick or show any symptoms of Covid-19.
  • Staff participate in a health screening and temperature check at the start of every shift.
  • All staff wear masks and practice social distancing whenever possible.
  • All staff wash their hands or hand sanitize upon arrival and continue to do so frequently throughout their shift.

Lodging

  • Rooms are left vacant for 24 hours after guests depart, whenever possible, before housekeepers enter the room.
  • The cleanliness of our rooms has always been a priority for us, and that continues to be something that brings us pride.
  • Access to indoor common areas is limited.
  • Housekeeping will not be entering your room during your stay. More supplies are available upon request by contacting the front desk.

Restaurant

  • The spacing between tables has increased to at least 6 feet of distance between dining parties to allow for physical distancing.
  • The number of guests dining inside the building at one time is limited to 25% of our building capacity.
  • We have increased our outdoor seating to encourage guests to eat outside and enjoy the views. 
  • Our regular menus have been replaced with disposable menus.
  • In order to limit the number of people entering the building, we are encouraging guests to walk around the building on the lawn (and admire our beautiful gardens) outside to their table instead of through the building.

Our expectations for our Guests

Before Your Arrival:

  • Please stay home if you feel sick or have symptoms of COVID-19. We would love to see you and we will work with you to change the dates of your stay to future dates when you are healthy.
  • Communicate with us about your status. We are staying up-to-date about travel restrictions to Vermont. If you have questions about your eligibility to stay or dine with us, please call and we can work together to make the best decisions for both of us.  

Arrival:

  • Each guest will be asked to fill out this form which includes a health screening questionnaire.
  • Use the hand sanitizers available throughout the common areas, especially when entering and exiting the building.


During your Stay:

  • Guests are encouraged, but not required, to wear masks when in the presence of others.
  • Practice social distancing whenever possible. Go outside and enjoy the fresh air! There is plenty of room for social distancing throughout the property.
