National Geographic's Geotourism Destination, the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont
The Northeast Kingdom of Vermont has been selected by National Geographic to develop a geotourism program for the region. This program allows Vermont's Northeast Kingdom to join a select group of countries and regions working with National Geographic's Center for Sustainable Destinations to promote tourism that enhances and sustains the environment, culture, and heritage of tourism destinations. You will find many heritage places to visit, shop, and explore during your time at the resort. To find out more information on geotourism and the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont, please see the Travel the Kingdom web site.

In the July/August 2009 Issue of National Geographic Traveler, the Wildflower Inn was the only establishment recommended for lodging in the Northeast Kingdom.
